Mahkamah Tinggi Shah Alam pagi tadi memutuskan bahawa penahanan Raja Petra Kamarudin dibawah ISA adalah salah dan memerintahkan beliau dibebaskan dengan segera.Hakim Syed Ahmad Helmy Syed Ahmad berkata bahawa penahanan Raja Petra adalah bertentangan dengan perlembagaan.
Beliau berkata bahawa Menteri Dalam Negeri tidak mengikut prosedur dibawah Seksyen 8 dalam penahanan tersebut.
Hakim juga memerintahkan Raja Petra, editor Malaysia Today, dibawa kemahkamah sebelum pukul 4 petang ini untuk dibebaskan serta merta.
Raja Petra pada masa ini ditahan Di Kem Tahanan Kamunting, Perak.
Raja Petra di tangkap pada 12 September dan ditahan disatu lokasi rahsia sebelum dihantar ke Kamunting pada 23 Sept.
